Poon Hill Trek is definitely the best short hike in Nepal. The Trek starts from Pokhara Nepal and certainly the best hike around Pokhara as well. Poon Hill Trek starts from Pokhara by taking a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu. Or If you choose to follow the budget options by talking a tourist bus. 210 km drive, might take up to 7-8 hours to get to Pokhara. The drive itself is a unique experience, as you witness the majestic Himalayas and river valley. Boating in Phewa lake, street walk, while window shopping is a great way to spend the night in Pokhara. The next morning you need to take a private jeep to get to the trailhead. About 1.5-hour drive is a total worth of every second as you witness some of the most incredible landscapes. Once you checked the permit, you are good to head Ghorepani Poon Hill. The first couple of hours, the hiking trail goes through the dusty mountain road. And then, over 3,500 vertical steeps, before reaching our first hiking camp at Ulleri. 3rd day of the hike, We wakeup with a clear sky. And we still have unfinished steps to climb from yesterday before reaching our camp to Ghorepani. Around 6-7 hours of gradual hike today, We will enjoy the trail crossing lush forest, waterfall, and colorful bridge with paying flag. Here we are! At our second hiking camp at Ghorepani The next morning we wake up early as 4:30 and hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m) Here is our last chance to enjoy viewing some of the Highest Mountain in the world so close. Annapurna South (7,219m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m) Mount Fishtail (6,993 m) After all the fun and incredible mountain view, we were finally headed to and our next destination Tardapani. The first part of today's journey was the most panoramic. A clear sky and colorful mountain flag was even more incradable. As we descended further down in the valley, the leftover snow from the other day became an Ice. And some part even required a rope, While some of us were enjoying the slide down. It is the closest alternate to crowded Mardi Base Camp trek. The view of Mt. Machhapuchre and the Annapurna Massif from Khumai Dada is almost identical as we see it from Pokhara. Khumai Dada trek offers everything that we could ask for during any high altitude trekking. If you embark on this trek during the time of Rhododendron bloom, you might be treated to a gorgeous bloom full of red, purple, pink, white and other colorful flowers throughout the entire trail. Like most of the treks around Annapurnas, this trek starts and ends in Pokhara. It is very moderate and doesn’t demand advanced physical fitness level so anyone can do this trek. #kori #kaski After completing our Memepokhari Trek, we were hoping to head back home but fortune had other plans for us. The CoronaVirus cases had increased significantly and the government issued strict Curfews in all major cities and districts of Nepal. Getting back to Kathmandu was almost impossible. We were stuck in Besisahar for 4 days, and somehow managed to reach Damauli where we are stuck again for a week. Luckily, Maila Dai and a few helping hands come to the rescue and we head for Tangting, to embark on a trek to Kori. We had been planning to visit Kori for over one and a half years and now we were finally doing it. Watch us as we hustle through elements of nature and difficulties to reach Kori, only to be shut down by the weather for a couple more days. And finally when the weather opened up, we witnessed heaven. We are thankful to everyone who supported us on this journey, the old friends we met and the new companions we made. So sarangkot trek in Pokhara is one of the most beautiful trek i have done. It is very easily possible in one day and you can even go by scooter, very nice road is there. you can see sunrise there which is just breath taking. All the white peaks you can see from Pokhara, this view is pure magic. I hired a bycycle and went it was a great experience in its own. Poon Hill (पून हिल) is a hill station overlooking the Annapurna Massif range and Dhaulagiri mountain range, located on border of Myagdi District and Kaski District in Gandaki Province of Nepal. This lookout is the key viewpoint in the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. Mountains such as an Annapurna 8,091m, Dhaulagiri 8,127, Annapurna South 7,219 Meter, Machapuchare 6,993 Meter, Hinchuli, Annapurna III, Dhampus peak, Dhulagiri II, and many other tall peaks can be seen from here. Poon Hill is located 270 km west from Kathmandu (The capital of Nepal). The hike to Poon Hill from Pokhara takes 2–3 days. The Poon Hill viewpoint is on the way to Annapurna Sanctuary which lies in the centre of Annapurna Conservation Area. Trekkers need to obtain an ACCAP Permit from Kathmandu in order to complete this hike. More. This is a relatively short trek of a 45 kilometre circuit in a clockwise direction climaxing at an altitude of 3250m at Poon Hill. The trek can have a variety of weather conditions but usually not too extreme and with good kit you will stay dry and warm. It is said that during late 80s ‚people from Austria found it so beautiful and they used to come and camp there for several days as it is so peaceful and pristine offering mesmerizing Mountain View. Since then people started to call it Austrian camp and as it is difficult to pronounce for local Nepalese people so they started to pronounce it as Australian camp and this is how the place got new name as Australian camp. . . . Nepal - a trekker's paradise! But so much more! In this ultimate roundtrip around Nepal, I will show you the best places and the coolest activities. We start in Kathmandu, exploring the main sights like Durbar Square, Pashupathinath Temple, Boudanath Stupa dn the Monkey Temple. We then travel to Bahundanda and then further to Bandipur. In Pokhara we explore the lake as well as the World Peace Pagoda, before setting off on the Poon Hill Trek, an amazing hiking adventure. Upon our return to Pokhara, we take an ultralight flight along the Annapurna Mountain Range and take the cable car up to Sarangkot for a breathtaking sunrise view over the Himalaya. We then take a motorbike and explore Begnas and Rupa Lake, including the amazing suspension bridge. The last stop on the motorbike tour is the the Pumdikot Shiva Statue, the highest in all of Asia. We will take an ATV tour through Pokhara's nature, before heading South to Chitwan National Park, where we can spot rhinos! After a quick flight back to Kathmandu, we explore the two former Royal cities, Patan (Lalitpur) and Bhaktapur as well as the Chandragiri Hill Station for a view of Mt. Everest. 36 hrs trek to kapuche from pokhara Lowest glacier lake in the world from pokhara we went to siklesh at 9 am, we reached siklesh after 2 hrs drive, we had lunch there at 12 and left for our kapuche trek around 1 pm and reached kapuche lake(17/18km) after 5 and half hours of trekking.
