From the album 'Live From The Astroturf' (September 30th 2022) Order here: 🤍 Formed in 1968, the original Alice Cooper band forged a theatrical brand of hard rock that was destined to shock and had never been seen before. Within five years they would release no fewer than seven studio albums, amongst them their international breakthrough School's Out (including the Top 10 hit of the same name) and the US #1 Billion Dollar Babies (1973). By 1974, the band had risen to the upper echelon of rock stardom... and then, it dissolved. In October 2015, over 40 years later, record store owner and superfan Chris Penn convinced the original line-up to reunite for a very special performance at Good Records, his record store in Dallas, Texas, USA. Alice Cooper (vocals), Michael Bruce (guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) were joined on stage by Alice’s current guitarist Ryan Roxie (standing in for the late Glen Buxton). A packed audience was expecting to attend Dennis Dunaway’s Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!’ book signing… but they ended up witnessing a full-blown happening. The legendary reunion show including all-time classics such as “No More Mr. Nice Guy”, “I’m Eighteen” and “School’s Out”, is now becoming available for the very first time worldwide on September 30, 2022. Luckily, the event was also filmed. The documentary movie “Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper” (edited and directed by Steven Gaddis) was very warmly welcomed at Film Festivals all over the world by music fans as well as rock journalists. The documentary won multiple awards for its coverage of the historic event. The movie is included in the live album’s first print CD and Vinyl LP editions. I decided to combine all the "blackout era" songs he did live into one video/listen. Songs included are from Alice Cooper Live in El Paso, "The Tomorrow Show", a 1981 concert, and Alice Cooper a Paris. There is a chance he did other songs from the albums, but I did not find any. Out of the 4 albums, only 2 were toured (Flush the Fashion and Special Forces). 0:00-2:29 Who Do You Think We Are? 2:30-5:32 Seven and Seven is 5:33-8:07 Model Citizen 8:08-10:00 Talk Talk 10:01-13:27 Grim Facts 13:28-15:41 Nuclear Infected 15:42-18:52 You're a Movie 18:53-21:23 Clones (We're All) 21:24-25:11 Pain 25:12-28:31 Dance Yourself to Death 28:32-31:23 Vicious Rumours 31:24-33:53 Who Do You Think We Are? "A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris" is included in the Ltd. CD+DVD Digipak and Ltd. CD Box Set edition of the new studio album "Detroit Stories" - out February 26, 2021. Pre-order here: 🤍 _ ALICE COOPER ANNOUNCES NEW STUDIO ALBUM “DETROIT STORIES” – A HOMAGE TO HIS HOMETOWN TO BE RELEASED ON FEBRUARY 26, 2021 ON earMUSIC Alice Cooper announces the release of his brand new studio album “Detroit Stories”, out on February 26, 2021 on earMUSIC. Named for the city that launched the original Alice Cooper group on the road to success, “Detroit Stories” follows last year’s “Breadcrumbs” EP as a modern-day homage to the toughest and craziest Rock n Roll scene there ever was. In 1970, fledgling producer Bob Ezrin walked into a farmhouse on the outskirts of Detroit to work with the Alice Cooper band. Abandoning flower power Los Angeles, because they were the opposite of the hippie peace and love ideal, Alice had brought his decidedly darker gang back to his birthplace to the legendary rock scene that gave birth to hard rock, garage rock, soul, funk, punk...and more. Ezrin drilled the band for 10 hours a day to define their signature sound. Whenever they nailed a song, the inmates at the hospital for the criminally insane across the road cheered and thus the classic Alice Cooper sound was born. "Detroit was Heavy Rock central then,” explains Alice, “You’d play the Eastown and it would be Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, the Stooges and the Who, for $4! The next weekend at the Grande it was MC5, Brownsville Station and Fleetwood Mac, or Savoy Brown or the Small Faces. You couldn’t be a soft-rock band or you’d get your ass kicked." “Los Angeles had its sound with The Doors, Love and Buffalo Springfield,” he says, “San Francisco had the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. New York had The Rascals and The Velvet Underground. But Detroit was the birthplace of angry hard rock. After not fitting in anywhere in the US (musically or image wise) Detroit was the only place that recognized the Alice Cooper guitar driven, hard rock sound and our crazy stage show. Detroit was a haven for the outcasts. And when they found out I was born in East Detroit... we were home.” 50 years later Alice and Ezrin gathered some legendary Detroit musicians in a Detroit studio to record Detroit Stories, Alice Cooper’s new album that celebrates that spirit for a new era. If 2019’s “Breadcrumbs” EP laid down the trail to the city, Detroit Stories drives like a muscle car right down Woodward Ave. "We recorded with Wayne Kramer (guitarist and writer from the MC5), Johnny “Bee” Badanjek (drums - from the legendary Detroit Wheels), Paul Randolph (legendary Detroit jazz and R&B bassist) as well as the Motor City Horns and other local musicians,” explains Ezrin, "We had musical ideas and encouragement from John Varvatos, the support of the folks at Shinola, and we recorded at Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak. This was Made In Detroit for Detroit by Detroit denizens!” Discover Detroit Stories as they were meant to be told. “Detroit Stories” will be available on CD, CD+DVD Digipak, CD Box Set (including CD, Blu-ray, T-shirt, face mask, torch light and 3 stickers), and 2LP Gatefold on February 26th 2021 on earMUSIC. The DVD and Blu-ray will show the incredible live performance “A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris” for the first time on video. With the whole concert culture being shut down due to covid-19, Alice Cooper felt the need to share one of his latest shows with his fans as he cannot wait to get back on the road – better than ever. Been looking for an Alice Cooper show from the 70’s with good sound for quite a bit. This one is really good. The sound is a little harsh in the beginning but still very enjoyable, but it improves as the show progress. Great show from early Alice and his band promoting their ”Killer” album. He seems to always put on a great show. I saw Alice late 80’s on his ”Poison” tour. And seen him quite recently also, but any 70’s or early 80’s shows is welcome into my collection. Enjoy and stay safe/GråZon Informative page: 🤍 Read about Alice in Wonderland here: 🤍 Some tape info: This is a killer show. Not only because of promoting the album killer but this is the original Alice Cooper group at their best! What makes it even better is the totally stunning sound quality (except for too high compression... not my fault). Enjoy!
Enjoy this while it's up.

Alice Cooper Live (1971) Album: Love It To Death Lyrics: What have I got That makes you want to love me? Now, is it my body or someone I might be Or somethin' inside me? You better tell me, tell me It's really up to you Have you got the time to find out Who I really am? Oh What does it take To get inside of your mind? Give me a break, yeah And take a chance for the very first time You better tell me, tell me It's really up to you Have you got the time to find out Who I really am? You're watching the full album video for Alice Cooper - 'Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits' (1974) With a career spanning over five decades, Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier) has truly earned his nickname as "The Godfather of Shock Rock". Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2011, Cooper's raspy voice and grisly stage presence that pulls from horror and vaudeville influencers makes Cooper nothing short of a legend in pioneering a theatrical macabre brand of rock and roll. Vincent Damon Furnier, better known under his nickname Alice Cooper, was the first "shock rocker" in music history. With the song "I'm Eighteen", the breakthrough hit for Alice Cooper, and the following album "Love It Till Death" the long and successful collaboration with producer Bob Ezrin started in 1971. Famous for his controversial horror-influenced stage shows and branded by increasing alcohol abuse in the mid 70s, Cooper turned during the 80s to a film actor, restaurant owner, golfing celebrity and even a popular radio DJ. Since October 2009 he's also the new testimonial of the German chain of electronic stores called Saturn.
From the Alice Cooper 'Brutally Live' tour, filmed at London´s Hammersmith Apollo in 2000 - now beautifully remastered to Full-HD. The 'Brutally Live' tour followed the release of the studio album 'Brutal Planet', a great collection of songs in which Alice Cooper embraces the harder side of heavy rock.
